Ben runs his own photography business taking glamour, but never pornographic, shots of his clients. One day, Anna comes in, a woman older than his usual clients. He finds he likes her. When he looks at the photos, though, there are many people in them but none of them are her.
It's strange, but little by little, as he struggles to understand why the photos turned out as they did, he begins to understand more about the lonliness of a selfless woman.
This is one of those low-key, beautiful reads.
