"The Canterville Ghost", a nineteenth century story by the famous wit, Oscar Wilde, is, at around eleven and a half thousand words, somewhat longer than the short stories usually recommended here. However, it is one of those classics that colour life and no one should have to miss out on. So, if you are not already familiar with it, or if you want to read it again for old times sake, just click on the post title above.
It is, of course, a ghost story. A ghost's life is not an easy one when confronted by such materialistic 'clients' as the Otis's. Enjoy.
